Step 2
Your Consultation
A comprehensive examination with Ms. Menassa to diagnose your condition and discuss treatment options.

- Time for all your questions
- If you wear contact lenses, please stop wearing soft lenses for 1–2 weeks and gas permeable lenses for at least 2 weeks before your examination, as they can affect the accuracy of measurements
Step 3
Pre-Operative Assessment
If surgery is planned, a thorough assessment to ensure you are fit for the procedure and to take precise measurements.

Step 4
Day of Surgery
Your procedure takes place at Spire Liverpool Hospital. Most surgeries are day cases, meaning you go home the same day.
- Arrive and check in
- Preparation and dilating drops
- Short procedure (15-60 mins depending on type)
- Brief recovery period
- Post-operative instructions and drops
- Arrange collection (you cannot drive)
Step 5
Post-Operative Care
Follow-up appointments with Ms. Menassa to monitor your recovery and ensure optimal healing.
- Day 1 post-op check (cataracts)
- Week 1-2 review
- Final review at 4-6 weeks
- Additional visits if needed
- Direct contact available for concerns
Step 6
Ongoing Support
Your relationship with Menassa Vision doesn't end after recovery. We're here for any future eye care needs.
- Continued availability for questions
- Annual eye health reviews if desired
